There are two separate systems for submitting your legal documents through the Ventura Superior Court – via our eFiling system and the court’s separate eDelivery system. Which one you use will depend on the division you are submitting the documents into. For Civil, Small Claims, and Probate matters, you can conveniently use our application to submit your documents. However, for Family Law cases, filers must use the court’s specific eDelivery portal.
When to Use eFiling
Our application supports direct eFiling for the following Ventura Superior Court divisions:
Eligible Case Types:
- Unlimited Civil
- Limited Civil
- Small Claims
- Probate
When to Use eDelivery
If you are filing for divorce, child custody, or other Family Law matters, our eFiling portal will not work. Instead, Ventura uses a separate eDelivery system.
You must visit the court’s dedicated eDelivery portal to sign up and submit your documents.
Quick Comparison Table

|---|---|---|
| Civil (Limited/Unlimited) | eFiling | Our eFiling Portal |

Important Notices to Remember
- Conformed Copies: Per the court notice effective May 16, 2023, ensure you are familiar with how the court handles conformed copies for Civil and Probate matters. Digital filings have changed the way “stamped” copies are returned to you.
- Read the FAQs: Both the eFiling and eDelivery systems have their own sets of Frequently Asked Questions. A five-minute read can save you a “Notice of Rejection” later.
